I recently passed the WGU C202 Managing Human Capital OA and wanted to share a brief overview of my experience. The exam felt very consistent with the course material and tested understanding of how HR concepts are applied in real organizational settings.
Motivation theories played a major role throughout the exam. Rather than simply identifying definitions, many WGU (C202) Managing Human Capital exam questions required recognizing which theory best explained employee behavior in a given situation.
Performance management concepts were also prominent, especially goal setting, evaluation methods, and feedback processes. I found that understanding the “why” behind HR practices was more important than memorizing terminology.
Compensation strategies, workforce planning, and basic employment law were also included. Preparing through the readings, videos, CertBoosters practice questions, pre-assessment provided adequate coverage, and focusing on how HR supports overall business strategy was especially helpful.
