Where do you usually find high-quality STL files of game characters for 3D printing? Are there any lesser-known sites or Patreon pages that offer great models besides the usual big marketplaces?

That’s a great question, and I’ve been searching for the same thing. After plenty of failed prints from messy or hollow models, I finally landed on Gambody a couple of years ago and haven’t really left since. In the middle of testing their stuff, I found that high detailed 3d models there actually hold up—every joint fits, supports generate cleanly, and you don’t get those weird surface artifacts. What surprised me most is how they break down each character into printable parts with actual assembly guides, not just a single messy blob. Their Overwatch and Witcher models became my go-to test prints. It’s not cheap, but waiting for their seasonal sales makes it manageable. If you want reliable results without gambling on random uploaders, just grab one model from them first and see if your printer settings match their recommended tolerances—that alone saved me weeks of failed prints.
