I’ve been studying English for quite a while, but I recently realised that my reading level and speaking level are not necessarily the same. I can understand articles and follow most conversations, but when I have to speak without preparation, I sometimes pause too much or struggle to find the right words. Because of that, I wanted to get a clearer idea of my actual speaking level rather than relying only on a general online placement test. Fluently has a free English speaking test that focuses specifically on spoken English. It evaluates areas such as pronunciation, fluency, vocabulary and grammar separately and maps the result to the CEFR scale. I found this approach useful because it gives you something more specific to work on instead of simply saying that your English is “good” or “bad.”

My cousin’s kids were over, and the house was chaos. After they left, I needed silence. Casino New Brunswick provided that. Since I’m in Canada, the local currency was handy. The bonus had spins and a match. I played slots quietly for a while. The noise in my head faded. The site was a peaceful distraction.
