Hi everyone! I have recently started learning how to manage my weight and health. I have heard of the TDEE calculator but I am not sure how it works. Can anyone explain what it is? I know it helps me figure out how many calories I burn each day, but how exactly does it calculate that? How does it take my physical activity into account? I would love to hear your thoughts on how useful this tool is. I hope I can use it to track my diet and exercise. Thanks in advance for your answers!

It is a really useful tool. The TDEE calculator works out how many calories you burn per day, including your daily activities and exercise. It first calculates your basal metabolic rate (BMR) – the calories you need to stay alive at rest. The calculator then adds in the calories you burn through physical activity to give you an overall picture. Using the tdee calculator, you can easily tailor your diet to your goals. If you want to lose weight, the calculator will help you understand how many calories you need to cut. For gaining weight, on the contrary, you need to increase them. It’s a great way to be more conscious about your diet and training. I hope this helps!

I also used the TDEE calculator and found it very useful. I started tracking my calories and it helped me become more mindful of my nutrition. Before, I didn’t know how many calories I needed to maintain my weight.
