Can I change the care schedule after the services have started?

Hey everyone, I’ve been doing some research because my mom’s been having more trouble around the house lately — things like meal prep, laundry, and just staying active have become harder for her. We live in Philadelphia and are thinking about bringing in someone to help out, but I’m a bit lost on what kind of support we should be looking for. A friend mentioned a direct care worker might be a good fit, but I honestly don’t know what that role includes or how it’s different from other types of home support. Has anyone here hired a direct care worker or worked with one in Philly? What was your experience like, and what should a family know before starting the search?
