    Hi everyone,

I’m looking into hiring a ghost writing service in the USA for a book project and wanted to hear from people who have actually worked with ghostwriters.

I have the basic idea and some notes, but I’m not sure whether I should hire an individual ghostwriter or go with a professional ghostwriting company. My main concerns are writing quality, communication, confidentiality, ownership of the manuscript, and whether the final book actually sounds like the author rather than someone else.

For those who have hired a ghostwriter before, what factors did you consider when making your choice? Did you interview several writers first, ask for samples, or request a chapter before signing a contract?

I’d also be interested in hearing about your experience with pricing. I understand that rates can vary significantly depending on the book’s length, genre, research requirements, and the writer’s experience.

Another thing I’m curious about is the process. How involved were you during the writing? Did the ghostwriter work from interviews and recordings, or did you provide a detailed outline and written material?

I’d appreciate any honest recommendations, lessons learned, or red flags to watch for when choosing a USA-based ghostwriting service. I’m especially interested in real experiences rather than promotional recommendations.

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to share their experience.
