Traveling by road gives you a different level of freedom, but there are still documents that should be prepared before reaching the border. I’d keep passports and other important paperwork together rather than searching through several bags when they are needed. Looking into the Mexico Land Card can be part of preparing for a journey into Mexico by land. Once the documentation has been checked, the rest of the road trip becomes more enjoyable to plan. Route choices, accommodation, food stops, and sightseeing can all be arranged without having the border paperwork hanging over the trip.
