Notifications for Instagram Stories without following the account

Is there a way to subscribe to notifications for someone’s Stories without actually following their account? I have a feeling a certain person might be using some kind of social media management app or service.

Standard posts, Reels, and public activity data are accessible without following the user. For Stories, there are dedicated services for viewing public content that allow you to open them in a browser without logging into your own account.
